Iranian documentary unveils poster

Reza Farahmand’s documentary ‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ which is set to compete at the 37th Fajr Film Festival has unveiled a poster, in time for the event.

The film's poster was designed by Ali Baqeri, who had previously designed the poster for Reza Farahmand’s previous documentary, ‘Women with Gunpowder Earrings’.

‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ tells the story of Mallouk, a ten year old boy who along with his friends collects the copper wire from homes demolished during war and sells them in order to make a living.

Their passion for the pursuit of a childhood dream, however, lightens the warmth of hope in their hearts, enabling them to find happiness among the ruins.

Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.

Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.

This year’s festival will be held from January 30-February 11, 2019 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
